Yellow Balau Pre Made Screening

The colour of Yellow Balau – Bangkirai is a wheat-brown, a colour it retains after being cut. The surface of Bangkirai alternates from smooth to rough textures due to the interlocked nature of the grain.

There are strong variations in colour however, which are well suited to decking material.

When exposed to the elements, Bangkirai, like many other tropical timbers, greys very quickly Bangkirai is mainly used for heavy duty structures such as for bridges, railway sleepers, floors and for post and beam Bangkirai houses.

A growing market for this wood is being found in terrace and patio flooring as well garden furniture.

Pre Made Battens Sizes and Gradings

Set lengths listed on our website are nominal only and provided as a general guide. These lengths are not precision-cut and may be slightly longer than stated to allow for on-site trimming and accurate fitting. Variations in length can occur due to standard milling tolerances, and it is the responsibility of the installer to measure and cut to exact size as needed.

All timber battens are supplied as Run of Mill Grade, which includes natural variations and characteristics typical of standard production. If you require select-grade or custom-graded battens, please contact us directly — we're happy to help.
