KlevaKlip SnapLOC Concealed Fixing System for ModWood Decking

Key Features

Multiboard, fixed-pitch system

Each clip ensures consistent 6 mm spacing between boards, locking them securely into place and effectively tightening the preceding board as installation progresses.

Fast and intuitive installation

Simply walk each board into the clip—no deep side-grooving, no visible fasteners, and up to three times faster than conventional drilling or screwing methods.

UV-stabilised engineered nylon

Durable, non-corrosive, and suited to harsh Aussie conditions—ideal in coastal or chlorinated pool environments.

Compatibility & Range

KSL137N clips

For 137 mm boards (used in XTREME GUARD®, Natural Grain, and Marina). Holds 4 boards per clip; 40 clips per box (4.5 clips/m² coverage).

KSL88N clips

For 88 mm Natural Grain boards. Holds 6 boards per clip; adjust fastener quantity depending on joist location (inner vs end joists).

Installation Overview

Begin with straight first row: Place clips on outer joists and use a chalk line to align internal joists for squareness.
Apply adhesive: Use approved MS or polyurethane-based exterior adhesive.
Natural Grain: two small 8 mm dobs per clip.
XTREME GUARD / Marina: full bead, 8 mm high across each clip. Boards must be engaged within 5 minutes for optimal hold.
Lock boards into place: Insert board at an angle, walk or tap into clip. Trim/fitting clips at joins using dovetail joiners ensures no ‘run-out’ between rows.
Maintain correct gapping: KSL137N produces 6 mm gaps; butt joints must align with the notch feature on the clip upright, maintaining 2 mm gap between board-ends per ModWood spec.
Edge finishing options: Overhang or flush fascia board methods allow neat edges—guided by aluminium angle or rebated ModWood fascia boards.

Installation Best Practices

Not suitable for non-square or irregular joists; proper first-row placement determines deck alignment.
Joist types: Compatible with treated pine, kiln-dried hardwood, RHS steel, C-purlin; not recommended for unseasoned hardwood or untreated LVL.
Use stainless steel clips in corrosive environments—coastal, poolside, or high humidity areas.
Strict compliance with ModWood gapping and fixing guidelines is mandatory to maintain board warranties.

Very high delivery fee, truck drivers do not care and will dump materials on nature strip rather than helping to carry onto the front lawns or side of house.When an issue arised with the timber quality of an order they took no responsibility and began ignoring emails after i sited building codes and regulations relating to my issues. All follow up emails have been ignored.Not enough money to sue them over but frustrating enough to make me spread the word to not use these guys again as they refuse responsibility or discussion when dealing with issues.

Today my hubby and I visited Nation Wide Timber. The whole team were extremely warm and friendly. Our house renovations hit a hurdle when our timber delivery (from a different supplier) was not the colour I was expecting. The NWT team went above and beyond for us to find the colour in the Spotted Gum we were after, letting us sort through their range (even though I was told by our original timber supplier no one would let you do that). I bought grey box from nationwide timber. This is my first time buying decking and laying it. Nationwide are a friendly team, easy to deal with and gave me good advice when calculating how much a needed and how to lay it. The price was good and a good quality for the standard range. I love the look of the timber, some really nice colours in there and it matches our house perfectly. The delivery was quick and came with all the small off cuts which I found useful when checking my spacings early on. The timber comes in random lengths, so I had to lay it out first to make sure the joints were staggered. over all, very happy.UPDATE: 8 months later. I let the timber weather. Recently deck prepped it, but then sanded it as i was not happy with some of the patchiness after prepping.Then i oiled using intergrain natural.Really happy with the result.
